Traffic is the most vulnerable issue of the country as on date. Traffic rules are made for our safety, instead, we always take them for granted as per our convenience; whether it is breaking the signal, wearing a helmet, talking on mobile phones while driving. A fraction of second is enough for a mishap to happen and cost us a life long sorrow. The government took an initiative to punish the guilty by introducing various penalties under the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2019. The main purpose of introducing this law was to avoid accidents and save lives. The accident and death rates are very high in India as compared to other countries. To keep an eye over these accidental deaths, various campaigns, initiatives have been taken by the government every now and then. But it is the civic sense of a person that matters when it comes to following the rules. But people are upset that the fines and penalties under the new Act are very high and they cannot afford to pay them. I worry about them and also wonder why they want to pay the high penalties in the first place? Believe me, it is not at all mandatory to break the traffic rules and pay the fines, you just have to obey them.Help the government in achieving their targets in the safety and progress of the country. That’s the best that we can do to support them, which in turn, is for our own safety and good.
