Christina Brown said around 11:30 Friday morning, an SUV was driving north on 23rd Street SW. Suddenly the driver swerved to the other side of the road, onto her property, and through her iron fence. Then, they reentered the road and fled.Though the damages add up to nearly $16,000, Brown said she felt grateful Monday knowing she and her neighbors are safe. It just don’t understand why they didn’t stop,” Brown said.As deputies with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office search for the person behind the wheel, Brown reflects on how the incident could have ended differently. “With the children that play across the street…the people that have dogs in their yard. I’ve got horses, I’ve got four dogs.
